When you are ready to begin lessons…
Find a Great Teacher.
This may seem obvious but you are going to need a professional to guide you or your children through the music education process.
Already found one? Great! Go ahead and setup a time to meet and ask questions that you may have for yourself or your children. Typical questions include: What ages do you teach? How long are lessons…. 30 mins, 45 mins… ? What is your rate or cost per lesson? Do you supply the materials or do we get those on our own?
These are a few questions to help get you started – some teachers will have their students participate in recitals and performances while others do not. Get to know your teacher by asking questions and setup a phone call to decide whether this person is the right fit for your music education experience.
