Top-Grade Clavinova Digital Pianos
Sound, touch, pedals — perfectly integrated to give you the sensation of playing a grand piano.
The grand piano Voices were obtained by recording the sounds of a Yamaha CFIIIS concert grand piano. A single piano best suited for recording was selected and then tuned to the finest possible condition by a veteran piano tuner.
All the sounds were recorded with meticulous detail, resulting in a beautiful, harmonious piano Voice.
Left: Rapidly lifting your fingers (staccato).
Right: Slowly lifting your fingers (legato).
256-note polyphony
Play many notes simultaneously without any unwanted dropped notes.
Superb playability and feel — Graded Hammer 3 (GH3) keyboard
The Piano utilizes the same hammering system and springless mechanism as a grand piano, GH3 keyboard action reproduces the touch of an acoustic piano from a heavy feeling in the lower register to a lighter touch in the upper octaves.
It also features the three-sensor configuration, which accurately senses and interprets the behavior of the keyboard for a response and feel very similar to that of a grand piano.
Synthetic ivory key tops — a pleasure to play even after hours of performance
Reproducing the gentle and tactile surface of the ivory keyboards once used in only the most beautiful pianos. It features highly-absorbent material that prevents fingers from slipping even after hours of performing, while retaining the ideal texture and feel.
Natural feel, even on the back-end of the keys

Other features:
The recording function featured in the CLP-525 allows you to record your performances* with a single touch, which is useful when you want to review your playing objectively. Additionally, you can record up to 2 tracks for simultaneous playback, so different hands can be recorded separately or overdub parts with different Voices.
* Recordings are made in Standard MIDI file (SMF) format. Compatible software is required for playback of recorded data on a computer.
The ability to adjust performance volume is extremely useful at home where players may not always be able to play at high volume levels. Often at low volumes, both bass and treble may become difficult to hear.
To counter this, the Clavinova is equipped with Intelligent Acoustic Control (IAC), which adjusts the sound automatically, allowing players to enjoy balanced sound at any volume setting.
